Tours of the programs were offered by current participants (Team BE) who proudly discussed what they do at the program and the positive impact on their lives. Visitors were treated to snacks and refreshments made and served by members of Team BE.

For several months BEi employeees have been assembling plastic component parts for Entech Plastics, Inc., located in Corry, PA.  To date BEi has completed about 400,000 assemblies and the count keeps rising.  When BEi employees work on a new job that is a component part in itself, they often wonder how the part is used in a completed product.  A Lowe's flyer that appeared recently in the Warren Times Observer solved our mystery.  On the back page of the Lowe's sales flyer was a large picture of an "Extreme Home Insect Control" system on sale only at Lowe's.  On the top of the bottle part of the system there is a black, circular part with a yellow dot in the center; this is the pop-up indicator assembly BEi employees have been working on for months now getting ready for the busy summer sales season.  The pop-up indicator tells the user when the bottle has enough pressure to spray as it pops up showing a green mark on the yellow indicator stem.  It is always interesting to see where the work that is done at BEi shows up.  In this case our work will be in Lowe's stores across the United States and possibly in Canada.  Lowe's has stores in all 50 states in the U.S. and (7) stores in Canada and are the second-largest hardware chain behind The Home Depot in the U.S. and world-wide.
